The Gambian Association of Michigan is initiating a "Clean your closet for Gambia's flood victims" fundraiser to help Gambia's flood victims. We are working with UACO and the Senegalese Association and appealing to all Gambians and the entire African community in general to collect all your used clothes, shoes, pens, pencils, books, and your neighbor's to bring it so that we can ship it to The Gambia. Please contact any member of the committee to come and collect your donation at a place and time that is convenient for you.
The floods caused unprecedented damage to a vast area of the capital, Banjul and the surrounding villages. There are certain families who lost everything they had after the floods. These are families who are in desperate need of any kind of assistance to help put their lives back to normal.
The recovery will be long and hard but your help, especially with baby stuff and African clothes for the elderly who are not too excited with apple bottom jeans will take them a long way.
We will keep you informed as the fundraising progresses. Thanks.
The floods caused unprecedented damage to property throughout the country. The survivors are in dire need of basic necessities such as food, shelter, clothing, clean drinking water, and rebuilding of schools and community centers. The recovery will be hard but your help will certainly put the victims in the right path. The Gambian Association of Michigan and UACO is hosting a "Clean your closet for Gambia's flood victims" fundraiser. We are appealing to all Gambians and the African community in general for support. Thank you very much for all your support.
